Roomlanders!
Quick one from me to announce that the final files for 'The Moat' are now with the printer! The book is complete... at least from a file perspective! It will now be a few weeks with them for production and then a couple of months to ship it around the world to all the various places it needs to be for fulfilment!
Work on the new Guardian Job Pack is progressing nicely - it will be a lot quicker to manufacture and can be printed in multiple locations so it won't have as long a shipping lead time as the books - which is why I prioritised completing the book first.
Late pledges will remain open on Backerkit for now and probably until the end of October, so plenty of time to jump on if you missed the Kickstarter, and if you do late-pledge, your rewards will ship at the same time as all the other backer rewards.
Surveys will be going out soon too, as soon as I finalise shipping costs. I will post an update when the surveys go live so you don't miss them.
Other than that, not much more to report, things are going smoothly and on schedule and if there are any hiccups or issues you will be the first to know, along with my plans to accomodate for them!
thanks everyone!

Hey everyone!
Work on 'The Moat' is on track and going really well. As always with Colostle books, when I start putting them together I get a sense of it as a book instead of a series of Patreon modules and see the places that could do with more illustrations to really add more scene-setting and visual richness to the final product.
I built a list of new illustrations required for the book a little while ago and have just completed all of them, so there's only a little layout and design work left to do before the book will be ready for print!
At the same time, I need to complete work on the new 'Guardian' job pack which I have piles of notes for but still need to design and build the cards. They should be done in a few weeks!
In other news I have just come back from Fantasy Forest, a huge fantasy-themed weekend-long show in the UK where I was selling Colostle and Rookling Heroes and also camping! It was an amazing event and I sold out of all my stock which felt like a huge achievement! Really good times!
More from me as and when I have news, but overall, everything is going exactly on schedule!
thanks everyone!

WE DID IT!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

WOW!! What an incredible result! Once the campaign was underway I had a secret hope in my heart that we would cross £30k, and when that started to look likely I made it not so secret any more! But then to get as far as £34k is just an absolute dream.
To be clear, this sort of stretch on a project does so much for independent creators and publishers like me. It means that we can order the book in greater quantities shoring up stock for the future and reducing the unit cost, meaning we can keep the prices on the books lower for longer. It also means I can bolster stock of other book lines as well ensuring that all those add-ons and other expansions keep stocked up. Keeping stock as an independent is really tricky due to the need for big capital spends up front, so successful Kickstarter campaigns like this one really help.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. It is such a dream to grow the Colostle world and make it feel living and breathing and this latest book is the latest step in that dream.
Next steps: Setting up the Backerkit to facilitate late pledges if people arrive late, then finishing off the book itself (I want to add some new artworks and finalise the layout, then I will go into production - and I will be keeping you updated on all these steps all the way!
Thanks again everyone, more from me very soon,
See you out on The Moat!

NEW ADD-ON! Stretch Reward for reaching £25k!

Roomlanders! I am over the moon to see that the campaign has crossed the £25k mark! This is a huge milestone and so to commemorate it I feel now is the right time to launch a stretch reward! (I'm calling it that because it wasn't really a 'goal' as you didn't know about it before I announced it!)
Introducing a new Job Pack - The Guardian!
The Guardian Job Pack allows you to become a Guardian in the Roomlands! Meet characters with diverse personalities and destinations and escort them to their intended location, watching out for their unique 'reactions' to your other prompts along the way!
This new job role consists of a brand new deck of cards (final number and artwork TBC), each one representing a new and unique NPC (non-playable-character). These characters will each have a personality to assist you writing about them, a destination they need escorting to, AND 'reactions'! Reactions will correspond to specific prompts in the rulebooks. If you are escorting this character and one of their reaction prompts comes up, they will react to it! And you will have to write in your journal how you deal with their reaction! Some of them might be positive, but others could be negative!
Since the last update about stretch goals (and all your amazing comments - thank you!) I have been putting some thought into what would work the best and I settled on this idea. After a little bit of thought about mechanical functionality and planning I decided now was the right time to announce it, to give you guys plenty of time to add it to your pledges if you would like it!
Lost more information will follow about it as and when I complete work on the artwork, but rest assured it will function as described above and be of similar size to the other job packs!
If you want to add the Guardian Job Pack to your pledge, click on Manage Your Pledge at the top of the Kickstarter campaign page. Then reselect your reward and get to the add-ons page. You can now add the Guardian Job Pack as a new add-on for £12.
(The Guardian Job Pack will be added to the Print and Play Job Packs bundle for no extra cost. I cannot add it to the physical Job Packs bundle so it will have to be purchased seperately.)
thanks
